Confessions

I weigh 245 lbs. I'm a freakin wreck. I have let myself go so bad. Sure, I have my excuses why I let myself get that way. But I'm tired of the excuses, I'm tired of being tired and it needs to stop. Now if you read this I hope you would leave me a little dignity and not tell the world how much I weigh. I'm putting this out there in hopes to make my self responsible to more people than just me.
Albert and I were going to start trying to get pregnant again. I've told myself "after I have this last baby I will finally dedicate myself to getting back in shape." I had a self realization that that was just another stupid excuse. Even though we are planning 1 or 2 more babies in the future I realized I would be a bad mom to let my babies live inside an unhealthy body.
So here is my long and short term goal.....loose 2 lbs a week, to get down to my goal weight of 145 lbs. in a year.
Tips, advice, support, and healthy recipes welcome.

Check out the Body Bugg www.bodybugg.com. That's what I used before and after Josh. My mom is doing it right now and it's a great way to have a daily reminder and 'personal trainer' on your arm all day. It is a device that calculates how many calories you burn each day, and then you enter your food in to the computer. You set a goal of how many pounds you want to lose per week, and it tells you how many calories to eat and to burn each day. I'll be happy to tell you more about it if you're interested :) Good luck! You can do it!

Hey Katina,
Try Craigs list or e-bay to try and find a BodyBugg. It is a great way to keep track of yourself and it is always on your arm to remid you. I have also done the HCG diet. You would have to go to simplyhcg to read more about it. It works too.
Good luck. I know how hard it is to lose weight.
Love ya,
Paula

Katina,
You are the woman. I've always done weight watchers, and it has always helped me out. I have some friends who have joined and lost as well. You can buy the info on ebay and then do your own weigh-ins. You should ask Teresa. I know that is what she has done. Good luck, girl! You can do it!!!!!

I lost 30 lbs in three months on Weight Watchers a few years back. I totally believe in it.

This time I have been trying to take a more spiritual long term approach and I have been working the 12 step manual of the church for food addiction.

One thing that has helped me is to have a friend that I am obligated to meet in the morning to walk/try to jog with. It's great to get the exercise over in the morning and to combine it with some mommy friend time.

Really, I have nothing for you but I'm a fellow struggler and I hope for your success.

And I love you at any size.

And weight is just a number; don't let it define you.

Whenever I get some money, I am totally trying the HCG thing. Paula looks awesome.

Weight Watchers totally works and I'll totally help you. In fact I kinda started back yesterday because I wanna lose 10 pounds. Look on ebay for the books. You totally can do it! I have the dining out guide (because I can't get away from all fast food) and the main book. It tells you how many points everything is worth. I could figure out how many points you get per day and explain the whole thing to you if you want. I have many websites that have point values and awesome recipes also if you're interested. I'm a total believer. I lost 45 pounds on it after I had Brielle and then after gaining 60 pounds with Stetson, I still had to lose about 30-35 pounds. It totally works, just have to have dicipline and not cheat! Good Luck and let me know if I can help!

I use www.nutracheck.co.uk - I've not had to give up any food I love, I've just become aware of what I'm eating. I've lost about 30lbs on it so far and since I've been at my target weight, I've kept it off. Good luck, you can do it.

First off, I know where you're coming from. I went to the doctor last month for my yearly check-up, saw my weight and have held myself accountable for all my actions hence forth. I want to lose 30 lbs. While looking for information and tips, I came across another blogger who used Sparkpeople.com to help lose weight. It offers TONS of recipes, workout routines depending on what weights, equipment, etc you have available to you, tracks your calorie intake and offers daily meal suggestions. Best part...it's completely FREE. I joined myself and have taken alot of the recipes and workout routines to heart. So far, I've lost a total of 7lbs. If this sounds like something you'd be interested, definitely check it out.
Good luck!
